This summer, every man who stands during the vocation call at each of the 16 Steubenville Youth Conferences across the country will receive a free copy of To Save a Thousand Souls by Fr. Brett Brannen.

Thanks to a generous grant from Our Sunday Visitor, in collaboration with the Steubenville Youth Conferences and the National Conference of Diocesan Vocation Directors, more copies than ever of To Save a Thousand Souls: A Guide to Discerning a Vocation to Diocesan Priesthood are reaching the hands of young men who are discerning their vocations.

give_TSATSThis summer, every man who stands during the vocation call at each of the 12 Steubenville Youth Conferences across the country will receive a free copy of To Save a Thousand Souls.

Each book encourages the reader to contact his vocation director. The newly-redesigned back cover prominently features a scannable QR code and the link to NCDVD’s DiocesanPriest.com, a website where men can contact their vocation directors. It also includes videos and other resources about the priesthood..

Written in 2009, To Save a Thousand Souls has reached tens of thousands of discerners. In 2011, the Melchizedek Project—which is also funded by Our Sunday Visitor and provides parishes and schools with free resources to begin discernment groups—started reaching more young men. In 2012, we began providing free copies to young men at Youth 2000 conferences.

This new collaboration with the Steubenville Youth Conferences is the next step in making it easier than ever to put discerners in touch with their vocation directors. More and more young men are receiving solid information about discernment and the priesthood!
