Description
The Spanish version of the prayer card for the Jubilee Year of St. Francis. This special year was proclaimed by Pope Leo to celebrate the saint’s 800-year influence on the Church from 1226 to 2026. The front of the card features a fresco of St. Francis embracing the leper (who is Christ in disguise).
The back of the card has a Renueva la Iglesia con Vocaciones Religiosas:
Renueva tu Iglesia, Señor,
por medio del testimonio de hombres y mujeres fervorosos que
lo han dejado todo por Ti. Enséñanos la humildad, Señor,
por medio de la alegre pobreza de los religiosos que han renunciado
al placer, al honor y a las riquezas
del mundo. Aviva tu amor, Señor, por medio
del ejemplo radical de hermanas y hermanos que sirven desinteresadamente a los más
pobres entre los pobres. Llama a muchos jóvenes, Señor, a consagrar sus vidas enteramente a Ti,
para que, siguiendo su ejemplo, la Iglesia pueda transformar el mundo.
